The Udyogi Edge Marshal is a low-ankle microfiber safety shoe built for long shifts on hard floors. It pairs a 200 J alloy steel toe cap with a double-density antistatic PU/PU sole and a water-resistant microfiber upper with reflective piping — certified to IS 15298 (Part 2) , the Indian standard for industrial safety footwear. What IS 15298 Part 2 certification means

IS 15298 (Part 2) is the Bureau of Indian Standards specification for safety footwear fitted with a toe cap rated to withstand a 200 joule impact. It is the standard most Indian factories, EPC contractors and audit checklists ask for when they specify safety shoes. The Edge Marshal is manufactured to this standard and adds two properties buyers commonly need on top of the basic requirement:

• A — Antistatic. Electrical resistance is controlled so that static charge drains away gradually rather than discharging as a spark.
• SRC — Slip resistance. The top slip grade, combining the SRA and SRB test conditions.

Please note: antistatic footwear is designed to dissipate static charge. It is not electrically insulating footwear and must not be relied on as protection when working on or near live electrical parts. For live-line work, use footwear specifically certified as electrically insulating.

The Edge Marshal is a Derby-cut, low-ankle shoe available in UK sizes 5 to 12 . It fits true to standard Indian safety-shoe sizing. Care and storage

• Wipe with a soft cotton cloth soaked in warm water and a mild liquid soap.
• Dry in a shaded, ventilated place — never in direct sun or near a heater.
• Store away from sunlight at room temperature, in a dry and well-ventilated space.
• Keep the pair clean and ready to use; replace the shoe if the toe cap is struck hard or the sole tread is worn smooth.

What does 200 J toe protection actually mean?

The toe cap is tested to withstand an impact of 200 joules — roughly a 20 kg object dropped from about one metre — without crushing onto the toes. It is the highest impact class in the standard and the level most Indian industrial sites specify.

Is the toe cap steel or composite?

The Edge Marshal uses an alloy steel toe cap. If you need a metal-free shoe for airport-style metal detectors, ask us about composite toe alternatives from the same range.

Are these shoes waterproof?

The microfiber upper is water resistant, not fully waterproof. It handles splashes, wash-down areas and wet floors well, but it is not intended for standing in water or wading. For those conditions use a gumboot.

Can I wear antistatic safety shoes for electrical work?

Antistatic footwear controls the build-up of static charge; it does not insulate you from live electricity. For work on or near live parts you need footwear certified as electrically insulating, plus the rest of the appropriate PPE.

Is the Edge Marshal suitable for kitchens and food processing?

Yes. The SRC-rated cleated sole is tested on both ceramic-with-detergent and steel-with-glycerine surfaces, which is the combination that matters on wet kitchen and food-plant floors. The microfiber upper also wipes clean easily.

How much does a pair weigh?

1050 g for size 8, with a tolerance of ±5% across the size range — noticeably lighter than a comparable full-leather safety shoe.

Do you supply in bulk with mixed sizes?

How long does a pair last?

It depends entirely on the surface and the hours worked. As a rule, replace safety shoes when the sole tread is worn smooth, the upper is split, or the toe cap has taken a heavy impact — a struck toe cap should be retired even if it looks intact.
